The Sashimi Fest is the largest sashimi circuit in Mexico and an event that puts Los Cabos in the spotlight nationally and internationally.
This culinary festival returns for its 7th edition stronger than ever! Thanks to the support of various allies, sponsors and actors, including the Institute of Culture and the Arts, H. XIV City Hall. What began as a sashimi competition and exhibition in La Playita, San José del Cabo, confirms a larger venue this year.
The great gastronomic event will be held in the iconic Plaza Antonio Mijares in San José del Cabo downtown! One of the oldest streets that has preserved its historical essence and picturesque facades.
Saturday, March 16, 2024, as part of the program of the Traditional Festivities of the Patron Saint San José, South California families will gather to try new sashimi creations in a contest in four categories:
- Gourmet
- Regional
- Students
- Kids
In this edition, the participation of more than 70 stands with original sashimi proposals is expected. Each participant adds their touch and seasoning to this legendary dish.
The fish is on your choice, as are the ingredients. In the past, exotic ingredients have been used to enhance flavors, such as mango and capers, and even such simple combinations of lemon and spices in the sauce can make a difference in each recipe.
The magic of sashimi is in the diversity, versatility, and creativity of its contestants!
